BREAKAWAY STANDARDS

We are so excited to have you here with us at Breakaway 2019: CHASING DAYLIGHT! This will be one of the most memorable weekends of your life if you just do a few things. Many volunteers have put in HUNDREDS of hours to prepare for this weekend and make it great...however, it is YOUR choice whether it will be truly unforgettable or not. We are not asking much, just that you choose to be positive and have a good attitude. If you do, we promise that by the end of conference, you will say that it was one of the best weekends of your life!

1. MAKE THIS WEEKEND ABOUT OTHERS

Whether this is your first time with us or whether you have been part of the family for awhile; it is so important for you to reach out and make some friends with those that you don’t hang out with normally. One of the best parts about Breakaway is the people that you meet and the new friends you make! So, starting right now, make the effort to meet and talk to as many people as you can.

2. YOU GET WHAT YOU GIVE

A GREAT ATTITUDE= a GREAT WEEKEND and if you have a BAD ATTITUDE...well...I think you get the idea.

3. NOT EVERYONE HERE IS JUST LIKE YOU

Just be respectful of others (especially when they are trying to sleep! Or when leaders ask you to do something). Don’t be afraid to be yourself, just know that we are all very different. Remember what our Mama’s taught us, “If you can’t say nothin’ nice, don’t say nothin’ at all,” (that includes being too sarcastic).
